This position directly supervises a unit of staff who complete eligibility determination/decisions for Medical Assistance (MA), Nutrition Assistance (NA), and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Cash Assistance (CA) programs. This position also monitors and reviews office-based customer Tracker Systems to ensure customers are being assisted by the appropriate staff in a timely manner within quality expectations.

Monitor, review, provide feedback and train staff on quality and service delivered to customers. Ensure timely and accurate notification to staff of procedure changes provide training and ensure compliance with the procedures. Completes performance evaluations.

- Knowledge of public assistance eligibility determination processes.- Knowledge of Federal and State laws, statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to public assistance programs.- Knowledge of internet and email use, task management, Google, MS Office software, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.- Knowledge of computer programs/systems utilized by FAA for eligibility determinations such as, AZTECS, HEAplus, FAA on-line policy manual, OnBase, etc.- Considerable knowledge of communication, conflict resolution, mediation, and collaboration techniques; general knowledge of DOA/DES Personnel policies and procedures; leadership and team building methodologies.- Knowledge of the Agency’s evaluation system and forms used/required. Experience with public speaking, project planning and the coordination of activities; must be able to work semi-independently while functioning as an integral part of the region’s management structure.- Ability to manage supervisors/employees with diverse skills, educational, and cultural background.
