Indian Health Service Human Resources Assistant in Whiteriver, Arizona
This position is a Human Resources Assistant for the Southwest Region Office of Human Resources at the Whiteriver Service Unit at Whiteriver, AZ. Incumbents will provide technical and administrative support to the HR office in the recruitment/staffing and classification departments. Positions will report to Supervisory HR Specialist onsite

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-05: Applicants at this level must meet one of the following requirements: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks, Examples include: Knowledge of maintaining correspondences, files, reports by using online resources to obtain information. Knowledge of researching basic HR rules, procedures/operations to accomplish routine tasks, Performing clerical office operations, OR Successfully completed 4 years of education (equivalent to 120 semester hours) or have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to human resources; OR A combination of education and specialized experience as described above. Only education beyond the first 60 semester hours is creditable towards meeting the specialized experience requirement (e.g., junior- or senior-level courses). GS-06: Applicants at this level must meet one of the following requirements: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include: Providing assistance to customers including management personnel by coordinating with HR staff to accomplish organizational goals. Performs a variety of non-standard HR work utilizing HR software and automated systems, which may include but not limited to: Employee Relations/Labor Relations, Recruitment/Placement and personnel processing. Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
