Hyatt Therapeutic Equine Specialist in TUCSON, Arizona

Description:

The Therapeutic Equine Specialist is instrumental to the Miraval experience. They are responsible for creating and facilitating equestrian content to guide the evolution our guest’s mental state of mind and programs that will lead them into personal growth and development in a safe and supportive space.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the brand ambassador for the Miraval Arizona equine department

  • Research and development of new elite/signature/elevated equine Specialist offerings that incorporate Miraval standards of mindfulness and wellbeing

  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to create content

  • Will report to the Director of Programming but will also be engaged with the Equine Supervisor to ensure quality and consistency of programs

Qualifications:

  • Lead engaging and authentic lectures, classes and workshops and private consults for guests in varying class sizes

  • Perform all tasks and services in conformance with policies, procedures, work instructions, training, codes of conduct, brand standards, recognized best practices, safety laws and regulations

  • Able to travel as needed

  • Able to work weekends and holidays

  • CPR/First Aid Certified/Wilderness First Aid preferred or ability to become certified within 30 days of start date

  • Valid driver’s license required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A strong background in psychology or social work

  • Extensive background in engaged ethical work with horses

  • Strong experiential based facilitation

  • Adept computer skills, including Excel, Word and Windows
