Supply Chain at Raytheon Missiles and Defense is a world class organization that has core contributing roles and responsibilities from product development through product delivery.
There are several major and distinct disciplines that make up the Supply Chain organization:
Material Strategies, Planning and Production Control, Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Affordability.
Supply Chain Management interns will support and contribute in one of these areas.
The Supply Chain Management Core Subcontracts Team is seeking a full-time summer intern to support buyers with procurement activities including material deliveries.
The core subcontracts team consists of approximately 250 buyers that purchase materials and services across all technologies and programs at Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD).
In this role, the intern will be required to frequently interface with Raytheon buyers and Raytheon suppliers to ensure delivery dates support program and factory requirements.
A successful candidate will be disciplined in attention to detail, have very strong verbal and written communication skills, and an aptitude for building relationships.
Key Responsibilities include:
Interface with Buyers and Suppliers to ensure requirements alignment
Validate delivery information is correct
Update information in Raytheon’s ERP system
Skills with MS Office applications (I.e. Excel, Word)
Must be a sophomore or higher and actively pursuing a Degree in one of the following areas: Business, Communications, Finance, Operations or a closely related field
US Citizenship is required (access to systems/tools may be restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship)
Highest level of demonstrated Business Ethics, with commitment to exemplary personal and professional integrity
Solution oriented to a variety of problems of minor scope and complexity
Critical thinking skills to ensure detailed status are provided
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast -paced work environment with limited supervision
Knowledge of latest continual improvement methodology and implementation strategies
This position is intended to be on-site in Tucson, AZ but has the ability to be performed remotely if COVID-19 prevents it for Summer 2021.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.

This position can be a Salary Grade SA02, SA03, SA04, or SA05 based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:
SA02 Sophomore Non-Technical Intern- must have completed 30-59 hours of college
SA03 Junior Non-Technical Intern- must have completed 60-89 hours of college
SA04 Senior Non-Technical Intern- must have completed 90+ hours of college
SA05 Post Graduate Non-Technical Intern- Must have Bachelor's degree pursuing Master's
