Job Summary:

Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join the Strategic Engagement Systems (SES) team and manage the SES portfolio within the Strategic Missiles Defense (SMD) Mission Area. The SES portfolio is a complex portfolio with $1B+ in recurring annual sales, consisting of domestic and international contracts, all contract types, and all phases of the product lifecycle. This position requires a self-starter with demonstrated leadership and analytical skills, strong business acumen with an eye for innovation and process improvement, and the ability to drive accuracy and efficiency into all FP&A activities and deliverables. Key characteristics include proactive leadership, operating with a sense of urgency, ability to drive actions to completion, creative problem solving, and strong team collaboration.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Lead period-closing activities and execute the weekly/monthly cadence across SES for inputs, reviews, and on-time submittal of deliverables to SMD FP&A

  • Deliver accurate and timely analysis of financial performance, key metrics (bookings, sales, profit, and cash), elements of cost, and provide early identification and communication of issues impacting financial performance

  • Ownership all financial reports, presentations, and FP&A deliverables

  • Lead the SES monthly forecasting process and drive predictability and accuracy

  • Prepare and brief weekly/monthly forecast and other ad-hoc presentations to SES and SMD leadership

  • Review and analyze SES Balance Sheet, Overhead, and Investments including Capital projects, IRAD projects, NBI spending, CFRs and ARs

  • Establish and drive the schedule for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) activities to meet the SMD deadlines and maintain ownership of all SES deliverables

  • Drive efficiencies through process improvement and grow FP&A best practices across SES

  • Lead program financial planners in a matrixed environment

  • Influence and collaborate with matrixed teams, functional peers, and leadership

An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master’s is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related experience

  • 8+ years of relevant progressive financial professional work experience

  • Experience and success in business Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications

  • Experienced in advanced skills in Excel skills are imperative
