Nutritionist is primarily responsible for guest nutritional education via private consultations, workshops, group presentations and informal talks with guests. Actively participates in Nutrition program development and promotion of the Nutrition department. Supervised by the Nutrition Department Director.
As a Canyon Ranch Nutritionist your day may look like this:
You will provide professional, quality nutrition counseling in the form of one-on-one guest consultations, lectures and group workshops. Accurately assess guest nutritional status including evaluation of health status, dietary history, goals; identify areas of nutritional risk and develop science-based personalized nutrition plans. Assess and evaluate complex medical tests and develop nutrition care plans; evaluate outcomes. Translate nutrition research into sound and practical food recommendations based on health, lifestyle and demographic data. Create and provide informative, dynamic lectures on nutrition following the Canyon Ranch philosophy. You will actively participates in innovative program development, including consults, workshops, demos and lectures. Complete all documentation, inter-staff communication and follow-up for guest consults in a timely fashion. Participate in menu development process.
Schedule: 32 hours/week, includes a regular Saturday shift.Typical shifts: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm; 9:30 am - 6:30 pm
To be successful in this role you will need 3-5 years of experience in related field. Proficient skills in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Previous training/experience in Integrative/Functional Nutrition desired.
Advanced degree MS in Nutrition or related field.
Registered Dietitian/Nutrition (RDN).
