We develop technical documentation and training materials for operations and maintenance personnel, mainly in interactive computer-based training webs, in multiple languages for international clients. Requirements: B.S. degree in engineering or related scientific discipline; at least 3 yrs exp. in metallurgical plant operations a plus; excellent written communication skills. Will consider new metallurgical or chemical engineering graduates. Salary commensurate with experience.Tasks & Duties:- Develop mine and plant operations training documentation for use in training industry supervisors, staff engineers, and operators; evaluate the effectiveness of natural re-source industry operations; make recommendations for improvement.- Review and interpret process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrument drawings (P&IDs).- Review and interpret process plant control philosophies and logic, functional descriptions, control narratives, and equipment supplier documentation.- Prepare related project reports.- Write mobile equipment, process plant operating or maintenance manuals in accordance withcompany policies suitable for training mine or plant operators.- Collect data, evaluate the effectiveness of mine and plant operations, make recommendations, and prepare associated reports at client mine and plant locations.- Assist in operations readiness planning studies for new mine and plant start-ups.- Using training documentation produced by company, deliver class-room and field traininginstruction at client locations.- Follow company standard procedures for training content development, including file management procedures.- Participate in the process of continuous improvement of company products and services.- Perform on-site commissioning and start-up assistance as required.- Follow all company procedures as outlined in the company handbook.**All offers of employment are contingent upon applicant successfully completing a drug test and background check.
