Responsible for performing research, analysis and reporting to support business operations requirements. Develops business critical recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.

  • Leads business projects and provides critical reporting and metrics to leadership.

  • Conducts analysis of business operations processes and functional requirements.

  • Prepares appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information.

  • Evaluates existing business processes and recommends efficient, cost-effective solutions which support the business operations and functional requirements.

  • Participates in and may lead cross-functional project teams to identify and document functional requirements, work flow, information sources and distribution paths, and system specifications.

  • Develops business cases with cost, service, and benefit dimensions that are used for funding and scope decisions.

  • Applies business and technical knowledge to analyze business operational software application requirements to ensure requirements are incorporated into system design, testing and functionality.

  • Supports business audits, system enhancements, business user testing coordination, system conversions, and/or new business acquisitions/implementations.

  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Previous (3-5 years) experience in data analysis in a customer service environment within the health care insurance industry; Workers Comp preferred

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, process improvement and documentation skills.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of health care business and care delivery processes.
