PSG Global Solutions Technical Help Desk in Tempe, Arizona

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Technical Help Desk , working in the IT (excluding Telecommunication) industry in Tempe, Arizona .

  • Develop strong understanding of the business and relate problems to business impacts.

  • Understand how to triage and prioritize issues and escalate problems to management.

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of supported systems and continually strive to enhance knowledge through ongoing training, reading, and participating in projects and improvement initiatives.

  • Respond to alerts or emergency issues within 15 minutes during normal business hours and when on-call.

  • Process and handle requests and orders for computer equipment throughout the lifecycle of the equipment.

  • Manage basic IT process documentation.

  • Document work and/or incidents using standard formats, where the documentation must be grammatically correct, factually accurate, and appropriate to the target audience.

  • Install, maintain, and configure desktop and laptop computer hardware, software, and peripherals, including researching vendor documentation to resolve problems.

  • Follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to policies and standards.

  • Communicate technical information to management for review and approval, both verbally and in writing.

  • Provide service desk phone and email support.

  • Resolve issues by phone or email.

  • Record all Service Desk incidents/requests in the ITSM tracking system.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Required for Your Success

  • High School Diploma or GED required (Associate's Degree in a related field or graduate from a technical school in information systems or information technology or related field preferred)

  • 1+ year experience in an IT Service Desk level 1 role (in a Windows network environment), maintaining and diagnosing client workstations, services, applications, and printers

  • Other experience in at least two of the following required: Windows OS, basic Windows networks, basic exchange server, Citrix, working in a help desk environment, Microsoft Office Suite

  • Demonstrated written communication skills

  • Intermediate certificate for Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook preferred


The pay range we are offering is 18 to 20 per hour. This position may present an opportunity to go permanent.
