The Sr. Controller position is a key participant with the executive team requiring an individual who has experience with a) all aspects of GAAP accounting, b) implementing and maintaining disciplined accounting controls and c) providing accounting expertise to the management team. The Sr. Controller will aggressively execute the tactical financial strategies of the company and requires an individual with direct and strong communication skills.
Manage all accounting functions, staff, and related financial controls for two divisions in bluemedia.
Be a driver of the integration of the already implemented Cloud Suite Industrial ERP accounting system with the implementation of the operations systems in 2020 & 2021.
Work closely with the operations functions for improving the cost accounting systems and reporting.
Prepare and analyze the monthly financial results and present such results to senior management in compliance with GAAP.
Interface with the company?s independent accounting firm for all tax planning and preparation.
Support the CEO in maintaining the company?s banking relationship.
Provide periodic financial analysis of ongoing opportunities and issues.
Provide guidance for the HR function including payroll oversight and audit.
Education - BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred
12+ years of increasing accounting responsibility and experience with an emphasis in manufacturing and cost accounting.
Prior experience of at least 5 years at the Controller level.
Experience with implementing and maintaining an ERP system. Experience with Cloud Suite Industrial is a strong positive.
Staff development and management is mandatory.
Experience working with outside banks and CPA firms required.
Advanced computer skills on MS Office (Excel and Word), accounting software, payroll systems, databases, and other business software platforms.
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience.
Excellent interpersonal capabilities required including strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and thrive in fast-paced complex work environment.
