Job Description SummaryThe Salesforce Analyst at Becton Dickinson Peripheral Intervention is a critical role within the US Commercial Operations organization. This role supports divisional business units (Sales, Commercial Operations, Marketing) by monitoring and adjusting internal business processes within Salesforce. The role reports to the Salesforce Project Manager. BDPI’s Salesforce instance is growing rapidly, adding user functionality every few weeks. The ideal candidate has experience with administration of sales enablement technologies (e.g., Salesforce), is proficient in analyzing and reporting sales-related data, and has a proven track record of implementing best practices and process improvements.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the ongoing/day-to-day system maintenance & administration issues. This includes user setup, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and report generation. This role also provides held desk support for 500 users.

  • Proactively identifies business risks, inefficiencies, and issues with the current Salesforce design, and works with the Project Manager and design consultants to design, test and deploy changes.

  • Monitors business processes in Salesforce identifying user trends and data trends. Communicates trends to stakeholders.

  • Maintains system security & data integrity through management of user roles, profiles, hierarchies, account teams, and territories.

  • Manages uploads of data into Salesforce from core systems. Leverages dashboards and reports to identify data outliers and inaccuracies, and remediates data quality issues.

  • Constructs and distributes user communications notifying users of system updates.

  • Develops and manages documentation related to administration (work instructions, case volume tracking, org design, sandbox refresh schedule, and archiving procedures).

  • Business Owners (Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations)

Basic Skills/Competencies Required:

  • Salesforce.com Administrator Certification required

  • Experienced in establishing data management best practices/procedures and knowledgeable of third party data loading tools

  • Strong technical and functional proficiency in Salesforce administrative tasks including, and not limited to profiles, roles, permission sets, workflows, validation rules, advanced formulas, custom objects, report and dashboard creation

  • Proficient with utilizing Salesforce Sandbox for enhancements and full adherence to change management practices

  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks and manage tasks independently to closure. Can complete tasks with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems leveraging various tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft software including PowerPoint, Word, Access with specific proficiency of Excel pivot tables and v-lookups

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of sales enablement processes (opportunity and case management) preferred

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Management, or related field or equivalent experience required

  • Salesforce.com Administrator Certification required

Experience Required:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting & administrating sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce)

  • 2-3+ years of systems analysis experience preferred

  • Medical Device industry experience preferred
