Job Summary:

This is a critical role within MUFG’s Operations and Technology of the Americas division (OTA) and working with the Head of the Reporting Shared Service, responsible for implementing a process approach to management, focusing on customer needs, and developing new data and reporting ingestion protocols. You will be primarily responsible and accountable for managing customer service, providing oversight for performance reporting across shared services functions, and reducing risks and issues within the Regulatory Reporting Shared Service. You should expect to work to improve processes and identify opportunities to better leverage existing procedures used to manage existing processes to improve service and drive down cost. Working in conjunction with the Reporting Shared Service leader you will communicate its strategic objectives and oversee the implementation of the service management function.

Major Responsibilities:

Oversee Performance Reporting: Manage a small team to drive the consolidated performance reporting across the Reporting Shared Service supporting the tracking of overall delivery against defined data and reporting SLAs. You will be responsible for ensuring issues and risks are captured, effectively tracked and mitigated, and actions resulting from Risk Control Assessments are driven to resolution.

Execution Focused: The Service Delivery Manager will ensure the strategic objectives of the shared service organization are executed by overseeing outcomes of shared service improvement plans and identifying and escalating improvement and innovation opportunities.

Customer Satisfaction Evaluation: Manage customer satisfaction. The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for gauging customer satisfaction both informally and formally. Generate a customer satisfaction survey and seek informal feedback from customers and operations to identify areas of improvement. Develop process for new customer integration and performance monitoring

Other Key Deliveries: develop, improve and administer cost allocation by compiling data for accuracy and constructing cost allocation reporting. Ensure operational and governance standards by generating operational reports as well as generating executive and governance reporting.

Additional Information:

  • You are knowledgeable in Bank Regulatory, Financial, and Non-Financial systems and data domains with experience in interpreting regulatory guidance and working with examiners and publications in understanding the current and future regulatory landscape and reporting requirements.

  • You have the ability to “see the big picture” as it relates to business solution needs, and obsess over consistency, best practices, and reducing manual labor with automation.

  • You communicate well with management at multiple levels highlighting business benefits, process optimization and continuous improvement

  • You will communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences and may be required to conduct presentations to Board, Bank Steering Committee and Governance Council forums

  • You have advanced team management skills with ability to lead a diverse and remote location-based workforce

  • You operate well within demanding project timelines while being detail oriented and accurate in meeting detailed specifications for the creation of enterprise Regulatory and Risk reporting

  • You are a highly motivated individual who drives enterprise program initiatives with minimal supervision and leverages relationships across the organization to accomplish tasks

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 8-10 years’ experience in managing data and reporting processes for an organization with progressive experience in building processes and continuous improvement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related technical field from an accredited college/university, Advanced degree a plus

  • Functional knowledge and implementation experience of cost accounting

  • Familiarity with modern business solutions for service management delivery

  • Ability to create, deliver and optimize performance-based reporting

  • Demonstrated experience with complex issues and risk management concepts

  • Demonstrated project execution skills and experience working directly with enterprise wide business users

  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of establishing and monitoring service level agreements (SLA’s)

  • Critical thinking and analysis of existing processes, program level changes and support organization design and structure to provide feedback and guidance on continuous improvement

  • Strong leadership skills in driving engagement, adoption and change for processes

  • Process minded, accountable, proactive, and agile.

  • Well-versed with developing and implementing pricing models for shared services within organizations

  • Experience using and applying service management and cost accounting principles, theories, and concepts to manage and provide solutions to more complex and multi-dimensional problems.

  • Ability to manage and coordinate day-to-day service management operations and work closely with various stakeholders to ensure issues are addressed in timely fashion & in accordance to user expectations.

  • Demonstrated track record of managing and leading high-performance teams toward the successful attainment of challenging goals.

  • Ability to balance the long-term and short-term implications of individual decisions
