meltmedia Business Systems Analyst in Tempe, Arizona

meltmedia is hiring a Business Systems Analyst to help us manage website forms and document the business requirements for a successful product. The Analyst will have the intellectual curiosity to analyze and solve issues that arise while creating websites. They will want to build tools using Node, Python, or similar languages to automate repetitive tasks, while being patient enough to research request logs for the source of concerns.

Business Systems Analysts will work closely with Project Managers, Developers, Data Analysts, and other members of the team to understand how our internal form tools work, and identify issues when they need adjustment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience within business operations or systems development in a web environment, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

  • A familiarity with agile and hybrid development methodologies

  • High level of computer literacy with spreadsheets, word processing and database software and/or business systems

  • Ability to understand concepts governing relational database structures, use reporting/query tools, and construct SQL statements

  • Light to moderate Python, Node, or similar programming skills and a strong technical understanding of integrations and interconnections within web application projects

  • Proven communication skills - Oral, written, listening

  • Strong ability to take the initiative on gathering necessary information and requirements

  • Good analytical and negotiation skills

  • Close attention to detail and excellent organization

  • Strong interpersonal and motivation skills; this role will work closely with various teams across the organization

  • A balanced set of teamwork and autonomy skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • A confidence to identify and complete projects with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Make sound recommendations on technical approaches in conjunction with the development Team

  • Create and maintain technical and project documentation

  • Configure systems and tools needed to implement project requirements

  • Translate Business requirements into technical specifications

  • Act as a liaison between Business and Development teams when needed

  • Act as second line of support to help diagnose and characterize bugs and issues for the team

  • Tracking all new registration and unsubscribe forms, and corresponding form updates

  • Handling API schema updates

  • Management of both internal and contractually-obligated scheduled audits

  • Management of form tracking documentation with precise [and accurate] details

  • New program and program sunset strategy planning

  • Replying to client requests within 4 hours

  • Ensure all the form time is being billed to clients

  • Creation and maintenance of Form Tactical Briefs and/or Requirements Document

  • Responsible for understanding and documenting all the inputs, processes and outputs necessary to develop a specific application/feature

  • Conduct research and analysis of how the processes and data inputs will impact the individual application/feature or larger web infrastructure

  • Data integration/data flows documentation and diagramming
