What you will do-
You will support development and implementation of strategic sourcing activities in assigned NPD projects. You will obtain the best quality, service and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation and supplier management. You will also support the development and implementation of specific strategies and projects related to cost reduction initiatives, new product development, supply base and sourcing optimization and rationalization, quality improvement, risk assessment, and contract negotiation.
Support development and implementation of processes to build a best in class strategic sourcing organization
Develop and lead the process to create strategic plans, consolidation strategy and spend/supply assessments taking into account total product life cycle needs
Participate in sourcing analysis and selection process and perform cost analyses and make versus buy analyses as required
Participate in the development of contract strategy
Negotiate, establish, monitor and enforce supplier contracts and agreements
Develop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses
Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans
Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to projects and suppliers
Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes
Assure cost standards are established for annual operating budgets
Collaborate across functions, divisions and campuses to develop scorecards and business reviews for key suppliers
Organize and lead scorecard review meetings and business reviews
What you need-
Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred
6+ years of related sourcing/procurement experience required
Medical device or other highly regulated industry experience (aerospace, automotive, etc.) -highly preferred
SAP experience -preferred
