The Agile Coach 2 is responsible for designing and executing a plan for the adoption of Agile (Domain-wide / enterprise-wide) and to foster teams and cultures practicing Agile, to sustaining Agile methodologies and continually offering strategies for improvement. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned coach who has worked with teams at all levels, both Business and Technology focused teams, and used techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency They will have experience scaling large teams utilizing SAFe Scaled Agile automation processes and tools.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Educating various roles and levels of people on Agile principles, provide training sessions and teaching skills that lead towards organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies.

  • Guide teams into Agile methodology, coaching 4-6 Agile teams simultaneously with in-depth guidance on the roles, rituals, and artifacts of Agile teams and organization units.

  • Provide team members with feedback and means of improvement and answering questions.

  • Provide hands-on support to employees, collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles including Business focused Agile teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams.

  • Work with stakeholders to drive improvements in agile maturity while demonstrating quantifiable progress towards achieving higher performing teams and improved business outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies

  • 7+ years of leadership experience

  • 8+ years of experience on an Agile team (i.e. Product Owner, Scrum Master)

  • 5+ years as an active Agile Coach

  • 3+ years of experience implementing scaled Agile transformation in a complex, silo-driven environment

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders

  • Ability to drive and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • 3+ years of experience coaching and developing a team

  • 3+ years of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) experience

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a certified Agile Coach (ICAgile Certified Professional) in an environment with 20+ Scrum teams

  • 2+ years coaching business focused agile teams

  • 5+ years of experience leading an Agile team (i.e. Product Owner, Scrum Master)

  • 3 + years of experience with Agile tools/software like Jira, Confluence

  • Ability to connect the dots across process, people and technology

  • Proficient in Strategic Roadmapping, Product Management & story creation

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussion to explore the best possible solutions and possess the ability to lead

  • Recognized internally and externally as a thought leader and Subject Matter Expert of the principles, concepts and theories of Agile methodologies

  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
