Kforce NOC Administrator in tampa, Arizona

Kforce has a client that is seeking a NOC Administrator in Tampa, FL.Responsibilities: * Act as first level Subject Matter Expert for escalations and/or emergencies * Troubleshoot L2/L3 circuits (PtP T1, MPLS T1, Metro Ethernet, On-net connectivity, Backbone circuits, Transit and Transport) for various events such as circuit down, interface errors, circuit speed, circuit congestion, network configuration, problems with routing * Troubleshoot VM's issues in vSphere and vCommander, Evaluate backup service * Create and Troubleshoot Email accounts, DNS records and Orion accounts * Respond to IDS, FIM and LEM Alerts * Associate's degree or equivalent work experience * 2 years of experience within a call center, information systems industry or related field * Thorough understanding of customer support center processes, service offerings and products * Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats with peers and customers while maintaining a professional phone etiquette and demeanor * Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects, work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and make clear timely decisions * Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed * Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, wear a headset and look at a computer monitor * Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively as part of a team * Ability to be self-motivated with a desire to contribute to a team environment * Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills * Knowledge of Windows and basic LINUX commands * Understanding of networking protocols ICMP, UDP and TCP/IP * Familiarity with VMware, Storage Arrays and Rack Mount Servers * Understand various LAN and WAN topologies * Troubleshooting OSI Layers 1, 2 and 3 * Basic Knowledge of Firewalls Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
