Job Title: Strategic Quote Analyst

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Job Description: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Strategic Quote Analyst to work from their Scottsdale, AZ facility. As the Senior Strategic Quote Analyst, you'll provide administrative support directly related to supply chain department activities, managers and staff. You'll coordinate quoting activities with internal partners to acquire products and services in a cost effective and timely manner. By supporting proposal activities that meet program needs and requirements, and requests for quotes to suppliers. From day one, we will count on you to lead a team that helps our client lead the world.

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS

  • Processes requests for quotes to suppliers - prior experience is preferred

  • Focus is on completing tasks or activities in compliance with policies and procedures

  • Supports proposal and design to cost activities to meet Program needs and requirements

  • Reviews and analyzes top suppliers for risk and performance

  • Coordinates design to cost and design to unit cost activities with internal partners to acquire products and services in a cost effective and timely manner

  • Develops and maintain resources for assigned commodity items

  • Prepares standard requests for quotation

  • Analyzes financial data and makes a risk determination

  • Collaborates with commodity managers, line of business managers, engineering, material leads and estimators to make them aware of potential supplier risk

  • Supports the proposal development activities in the entry of quotes into the proposal system

  • May assist on small/medium and top opportunity proposals

  • Maintains files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation

  • Monitors program activity to ensure end user accountability and compliance to program and policy

  • Coaches end users and provides assistance with reconciliation

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of reading a Bill of Materials and parts list

  • Solid understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a varied range of tasks

  • Requires decision-making but with minimal financial implications to the company

  • Strong administrative skills

  • Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS office and other software tools

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written

  • Good problem solving skills
