Kforce Sr. System/Network Administrator in Scottsdale, Arizona

Kforce has a client, a growing company in the Scottsdale, AZ area is seeking a Systems/Network Administrator. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager. Will be responsible for planning, implementing, overseeing and maintaining servers, networks, and leading technology projects for IT. Additionally, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for core infrastructure design and implementation using industry best practices. The position requires good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues. Responsibilities:

  • Implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development

  • Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software

  • Provide recommendations, develop and maintain documentation

  • Provide recommendations about accessing information and support

  • Monitor security of all technology

  • Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status

  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans

  • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation

  • BS degree in Computer Science and/or Information Technology preferred

  • Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired

  • 5 years related experience in the field of Information Technology

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification desired

  • Experience or knowledge of security best practices (endpoint, network, server, cloud)

  • Managing deployments/rollouts

  • A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking

  • Group Policy design and configuration

  • Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration

  • LAN Routing and Switching design, configuration and troubleshooting (VLANs, IP Subnetting, 802.1Q trunks)

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

  • Must be organized and can manage multiple projects of varying length

  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently

  • Must possess: analytical and problem-solving skills; decision making skills

  • Understands specialty equipment; keeps knowledge up-to-date; is a technical resource for others; follows technology practices and standards

  • Must be a team player
