Buena Vista Health and Recovery Centers is a growing, state of the art healthcare recovery center with multiple locations. We are currently seeking a RCM Billing Manager to join our team of passionate healthcare professionals at our Corporate Campus in Scottsdale, AZ.
Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for overseeing billing & client benefits and assisting programs improve and resolve revenue cycle issues. This includes oversight of the teams that manage claims/billing and close collaboration with teams interfacing with commercial and government payers and internal stakeholders. In addition the leader will seek and implement improved work flows to ensure optimum revenue cycle management.
The RCM leader oversees the processes and systems related to the revenue cycle to maximize reimbursements of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
Revenue Cycle Oversight
Responsible for operations of Billing and Client Benefits, including but not limited to ensuring the systems and workflows are effective and contain accurate billing information.
Manage and respond to discrepancies regarding billing practices.
Consistently monitor revenue cycle performance, identify revenue cycle problems and implement solutions for improvement.
Ensure billing and client benefits are carried out in compliance with federal, state and regulatory laws, rules and regulations.
Provide routine and ad hoc reporting.
Collaborate with all clinical programs to ensure that clinical documentation processes in the electronic health record meet the requirements for billing.
Staff Management and General Administration
Hire, train and supervise direct reports and provide overall guidance for the team direction and vision, including, but not limited to, managing staff performance by providing regular feedback, performance reviews, and one-on-one meetings.
Deploy resources efficiently and effectively toward organizational goals, working with staff to balance workload and effort.
Participate in the financial development processes as requested and maintain a high level of fiscal responsibility.
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Finance, Public Health Administration, or relevant field
Minimum of 3-5 years management experience in revenue cycle related functions, specifically human services organization providing services to substance use disorder and mental health clients
Demonstrated experience in working with a variety of RCM systems.
Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds
Demonstrated detailed knowledge with HIPAA billing EDI formats including, but not limited to, 270, 271, 837, 835, etc.
Demonstrated experience managing a high-performing team in a multi-site structure
Track required of innovation, seeking new solutions and automation in various billing areas must be created by a revenue cycle manager
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to facilitate presentations.
Ability to successfully navigate in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven and entrepreneurial environment
Proficiency in Electronic Health Record software
