vCORE seeks an experienced Presales Network Lead with an extensive background in Enterprise Networking. This position entails acting as a subject matter expert, as well as driving corporate business strategy related to the vCORE Network Practice including determining strategic OEMs and maintaining relationships therein, creating sales collateral, identifying and promoting operational best practices, researching and identifying new/disruptive technologies to add to our Solutions Capabilities matrix. 

In addition, this position also requires supporting all aspects of a typical sales campaign including discovery, design, proposal, and oversight of the implementation of a vast array of technologies including, but not limited to: Enterprise-Class Networking hardware/software solutions and related interoperability with servers, storage, semi/fully-virtualized, and private/hybrid/public cloud environments.  The candidate will be expected to proactively collaborate and partner with our team of Systems Engineers/Account Managers as well as with the vendors resources. 

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role. Must have excellent customer-facing and presentation skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with peers, clients, leadership teams, and vendors.

 

What You'll Do

  • Drive Network Practices vision and strategy

  • Support all aspects of the sales cycle, including discovery, customer data exchanges, solution design/configuration, and quoting processes.

  • Ensure that proposals are technically sound, deliverable, and competitive.

  • Work within a team to drive account planning related to customers vision, technical/business objectives, and customer issue management.

  • Provide transitional involvement or oversight with implementation and/or post-implementation support as needed.

  • Mentor other systems engineers

  • Act as a thought leader, both internally and externally, on all things networking.

     

    What You'll Need

  • 5-10 Years of Expert Enterprise Networking experience Route/Switch/Firewalls- Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, etc.

  • Expert Knowledge of Enterprise Wireless vendors Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, etc.

  • Knowledgeable in SDN Technologies especially VMware NSX & Cisco ACI

  • Knowledgeable in SD-WAN Technologies Cisco Viptella, VMware VeloCloud, Silver Peak, etc. 

  • Knowledgeable in Cloud Networking Technologies AWS, GCP, Azure, Aviatrix, etc

  • Knowledgeable in Network Security Technologies Cisco ISE, Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto, etc.

  • Knowledgeable with F5 Load Balancers or middleware equiv

  • Knowledgeable with Open Networking Technologies

  • Knowledgeable with Disaster Recovery/Migration Planning and testing methodologies

  • Ability to collaborate with and motivate multiple groups toward accomplishing a task

  • Experience with diverse vendor environments and complex end-to-end solutions

  • Familiarity with data center facilities concepts, including space, power, cooling, and physical connectivity

  • Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting

  • Flexible, creative problem-solving skills with the ability to 'think outside the box'

  • B.S./B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent technical training (certifications in related technologies)
