USAA Technology Business Analyst I in San Antonio, Texas

Purpose of Job

We are currently seeking a talented Technology Business Analyst I to work in our San Antonio Convent Street office.

Develops and provides financial information and analysis to drive the decision-making process and support business operations for their department. Skills critical to this job include financial acumen, budgeting, forecasting and leadership. In depth technology understanding or background is not required for this job; however, the financial analysis that is done is related to technology hardware, technology software, and labor expenses for technology resources. This person will be expected to become a subject matter expert on the financials for a specific department. Purchase order and invoice handling as well as resource forecasting are skills that may also be utilized in this role.

USAA Information Technology: A Realistic Preview

  • Applies functional knowledge to analyze weekly/monthly financials, forecast trends, and coordinates corrections in cooperation with CFO

  • Participates in the budget and pricing exercise to provide CFO an accurate and complete budget for the upcoming year in accordance with CFO and corporate timelines

  • Generates weekly, monthly, and Ad Hoc financial reports and detailed analysis to include: accruals, interfaces and journal entries.

  • Tracks, reports and reconciles invoices

  • Provides training to new managers and may interact with all levels of Executive Management

  • Assists with regular workforce tracking and reporting, to include OneSource position maintenance, 3P tracking, Agile team analysis, and forecasting

  • Handles all financial and workforce related activities related to department and unit changes (re-orgs, unit changes, etc.)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • 4 or more years of related experience to include experience with expense budgeting and forecasting practices

Preferred

  • Current experience as a USAA contractor

  • Familiar with Bank Business Capabilities & Outcomes (BCO) Reporting

  • Knowledge of Tableau reporting
