Description

Join Sparklight, part of the Cable One family of brands, as Web Scrum Master. As Web Scrum Master guide the Web Engineering teams in Agile best practices by facilitating ceremonies, analyzing sprint metrics, and working to increase efficiency and productivity by focusing on continuous process improvements. You will work with business owners, product owners and scrum teams for developing user requirements and translating these requirements into user stories. You will also collaborate with functional area and business leaders to create and maintain sprint road maps, facilitates meetings with multiple stakeholders, and provides project updates to leadership as appropriate.

What this position does to contribute to the Company’s success:

  • Guides and coaches the team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.

  • Leads the Web Engineering team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.

  • Works with the Web Engineering team to ensure a clear understanding of all project requirements to create and maintain clear and concise documentation.

  • Actively plans and facilitates all scrum ceremonies including the daily stand up, grooming, planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

  • Resolves team obstacles that impede the Scrum team from delivering what was committed in the sprint.

  • Manages backlogs by conducting grooming and planning sessions, facilitating story pointing efforts and working with Product Owners to prioritize tasks.

  • Maintains and distributes sprint commitments, completion, and project allocation reports to internal and external teams.

  • Works with internal Project Management Office to ensure sprint work and project work are aligned, prioritized, and communicated to the business.

  • Collaborates between scrum teams to ensure dependencies are identified, impediments are removed, and work schedules are aligned.

  • Takes on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles, and abide by our Organization’s Values.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree A.A. or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. An equivalent amount of experience may substitute for education.

  • 2 years or more experience in management consulting, technical consulting, project management, or web development.

  • Experience managing scrum for a web development or software development group.

  • Knowledge of project management applications and digital scrum project management tools, especially Azure Boards (DevOps) and Microsoft Project.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills.

  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.

  • Must have proven planning and organization skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Project).

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize, and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Professional Scrum Master Certification required.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.

  • Professional Scrum Master II Certification preferred.
