General Purpose of Job

This position will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. S/he will also act as a resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders.

S/he will develop and execute more complex audit testing to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, reliability of financial reporting and compliance with applicable law.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility Identifies and analyzes more complex trends through audits performed.

Communicates to management trends identified.

Escalates and communicates identified risks to management as needed.

Prepares and maintains accurate audit documentation and finding sheets; and ensures integrity of all documentation produced.

Understands and applies root cause analysis to prepare draft audit reports supported by findings and/or proper documentation.

Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to ensure action plans capture and remediates the deficiencies found during audits for assigned area(s).

Serves as a resource and consults with internal/external stakeholders on a broad variety of audit matters/issues related to his/her assigned area(s) or responsibility. Manages, conducts and/or participates in audit projects across the department

Provides effective and open more complex communication with internal/external stakeholders to ensure transparency and consistency of audit actions.

Performs audits in accordance with department and IIA global professional standards.

Obtains input from management as appropriate before making internal/external statements or providing information that could impact the corporation.

Communicates effectively, both verbally and in written form.

May provide input into end of audit or annual review of Specialists.

Assist in the development and deliverer of training to our business partners and within internal audit.

Education

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required

Experience

  • 3 - 5+ Years of experience in audit and/or compliance that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required )

Non Negotiables

  • Experience in executing the full audit life cycle (planning stages through identifying report-ready findings) to include executing multiple engagements at one time

  • Strong Business Acumen with the ability to interface with stakeholders of all levels across the enterprise

  • Attention to detail and accuracy and proven project management skills
