The Gift Shop Sales Associate position reports directly to the Gift Shop Supervisor and is responsible for day-to-day gift shop retail operations for the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Individual works cooperatively with Gift Shop Supervisor in realm of inventory control, product merchandising and record keeping. The volunteers who provide support and assist in the gift shops are provided direction by the Gift Shop Sales Associate.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.
Qualifications * High School Education or GED
Previous sales experience desirable and proven superior customer service skills.
Knowledge of retail sales preferably in a health care and/or resort environment.
License or certification None
Exemption status Non-exempt
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $13.47 per hour.

Schedule Full Time
Hours / Pay period 80 hours every two week pay period
Candidate must be available to work Monday through Sunday, 8:15am to 5:30pm - days and hours vary depending on work location.
Weekend schedule Candidate must be available to work weekends, 9:30am-3pm.
