Remote Workers Compensation Adjuster

Are you looking for a new opportunity to flex your Claims Adjusting skills? Do you have at least 3 years of Workers' Compensation experience? Does an opportunity with a local government agency appeal to you? Read on!

Randstad is working with a local government agency to fill TWO Benefit Claims Adjuster opportunities within their Risk Management department. The qualified candidate must be comfortable with a long-term temporary contract.

Pay: $20-22/hr Depending on Experience

Location: Downtown Phoenix, 85007

  • This position will begin remote due to COVID-19, but WILL return to the office as soon as it is cleared to do so. You must be local to Arizona and be willing to commute to the office eventually.

Experience With: Disability benefits, loss of earning capacity benefits, scheduled impairment ratings, and supportive care

Responsibilities

  • Certifies or non-certified medical care, supplies, evaluations, consultations, independent medical reviews, durable medical equipment

  • Case management activities

  • Private investigator activities

  • Litigation activities

  • Assigns, monitors, oversees, and evaluates activities of Entry adjusters and/or investigators partnering in the adjustment of the claim

  • Investigates, evaluates, and analyzes workers’ compensation claims against the State and determines the appropriate resolution of claims.

  • Negotiates settlements directly with plaintiff or counsel within authority level established by state statute, rules, and policies and procedures

  • Identifies, investigates, and pursues subrogation recoveries from negligent third parties. Identifies loss exposures to the State and communicates with appropriate State agency personnel and Risk Management Loss Prevention

  • Consults with and advises agency management and key personnel of losses that may impact their operations.
