Landauer Medical Physics is seeking an individual with experience in diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, or health physics to join our team as Diagnostic Imaging Physicists based Phoenix, Arizona. This position will provide medical physics services to various hospitals in the region. The individual should be motivated, quick to learn and a great team player. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication to interact with health care professionals daily.
Perform medical physics surveys of all types of radiographic, fluoroscopic, mammography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, ad other imaging systems
Perform nuclear medicine surveys including gamma cameras, PET, and Quarterly RAM License Support
Support Radioactive Materials Licenses and all aspects of Radiation Safety including being a Radiation Safety Officer at various facilities around Phoenix, AZ
Complete all reports on time and accurately
Apply former knowledge to unknown topics to accomplish appropriate results
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients daily
Travel is required to various hospitals in a 1-4-hour driving ring around Phoenix, AZ. There will be some overnight stays (average less than 30%) – some limited national travel may be required.
Master’s degree or higher in health physics, physics, medical physics, biomedical engineering or any equivalent from an accredited college or university
Experience in any of the following areas of Imaging Physics practice: Health Physics, Radiation Safety Services, Mammography, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine (including gamma cameras and licensing), PET, Radiological/Fluoroscopy Surveys, and Ultrasound
