Overview

A Strategic Planner supports the Strategic Planning and Account Management team on all projects and campaigns throughout the Marketing organization. An individual is a key liaison among the strategy, compliance and creative teams to ensure projects are completed from implementation phase to completion. A Strategic Planner assures that all related insights, strategy and KPI goals are aligned to ensure all projects ladder up to overall goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support Strategic Planning and Account Management team to gather insights and data before kicking off a project

  • Must be able to write a strong, strategic brief and share it out with creative and strategy partners

  • Responsible for ensuring we have the resources available for all upcoming projects with both internal and external creative partners

  • Maintain project plan so team is aware of key milestones and dates that we must hit to reach our launch date. Communicate any changes throughout the project as needed

  • Works closely with marketing compliance to ensure all projects are routed and reviewed by compliance team and all documents are stored in central system

  • Work closely with the team to set priorities of projects and ensure that is communicated out to project owners

  • Create and maintain campaign and project calendars and share out with key leaders as needed

  • Create presentations as necessary to ensure marketing department and key stakeholders have an understanding of the strategy and campaign assets

  • Must be able to collaborate and lead a team on projects and present if necessary

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing or related field

  • Two years (2) years of experience in a marketing or advertising

Additional Requirements:

  • Effective written and oral communication skills at all levels of an organization to write a strong, strategic brief and share it out with creative and strategy partners, as well as present to leaders as necessary

  • Familiarity with online marketing management systems to track projects

  • Strong, proven operational management skills with experience in managing multiple projects at a time from implementation to deployment

  • Work enthusiastically and co-imperatively to produce outstanding results

  • Proven experience collaborating and working in cross-functional (internal and external) relationships including agency partners, internal clients, editors, and influencers

  • Excellent analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to perform analyses
