The Customer Experience (Marketing) team works to showcase our brand through the lens of expertise and love. They work to provide a personalized experience for our consumers backed by best-in-class, data-driven marketing capabilities. The Customer Experience team focuses across 5 departments including, Marketing, Creative, Digital, Communications, and our Loyalty & CRM team. Everyone brings his or her own point of view to create a unique experience for the pets and pet parents.
About the Job
We are undergoing an exciting evolution in our loyalty and personalization space and we are looking for the right driven, collaborative, relentlessly unsatisfied individuals to be part of that journey with us.
We are seeking a Marketing Analyst to be part of this journey. This position will work with the loyalty and personalization business team to analyze results, help identify opportunities, and regularly report on insights. You will be an essential part of an expanding team who will quickly become one of the largest growth initiatives for PetSmart.
Be an integrated part of the business team working alongside the manager of analytics to provide high quality and face paced actionable insights and recommendations
Take a holistic view all activities in market and recommendations for how they interact and impact one another for the best customer outcome
Drive a culture of constant testing, analysis, and learning to discover new and innovative ways to grow revenue and scale marketing efforts.
Apply appropriate quantitative methods to analyze customer data and recommend key strategies that can drive the business.
Use technical skills to query large databases & apply visualization skills to share insights.
Translate highly technical data and concepts into simplified stories and actionable insights in response to business needs.
Possess the ability to communicate at a very technical level with peers, as well as at a high level with our business leaders and our partners.
Be comfortable operating in fast paced corporate environment with the ability to juggle multiple priorities & deadlines.
Be comfortable exploring new data sets for insights as requests evolve in scope & complexity.
Display business judgement in providing actionable recommendations.
Bachelor’s degree in any area of marketing or business.
2-4 years of experience in Marketing Analytics.
Advanced SQL, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Python or R experience preferred.
SAS, MicroStrategy or Tableau experience a plus.
Experience working with customer information in supporting Loyalty programs & CRM teams in retail or packaged goods environment preferred.
Strong intellectual horsepower. Superior abstract reasoning and analytical skills. Creative thinker who finds innovative solutions to obstacles.
Data focused and fast decision maker. Relentless driver of rapid iteration, always considering the user experience
Effective communicator, both written, verbal and through presentations. Articulates concepts in a clear, structured and succinct manner, adjusted for the audience
