As part of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Solutions group, develops both hardware and software specifications for Avnet products and solutions and works with the design team to oversee design and development efforts around AI and ML applications. Also develops reference designs, example software applications, required technical documentation, internal and external training, and marketing collateral supporting use cases of Avnet solutions. Works with various Avnet suppliers and partners to identify and define solution opportunities and supports internal Avnet marketing, web, and field teams.
+ As part of a larger project team, define, develop, and implement customer-ready solutions (development kits, modules, instructional tutorials, working reference designs and on-demand training) using best practices and hands-on methodology to support demand creation and sales efforts.
+ Support Avnet's global customers by answering related technical questions.
+ Support global field application engineers (FAEs) through phone, e-mail, and in-person training and communication.
+ Develop technical content to support marketing efforts.
+ Contribute to training development efforts through collaborative work with field team members, providing incremental improvements and content updates.
Job Level Specifications:
+ Practical understanding of one or more AI and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and TVM.
+ Familiarity with implementing AI and ML applications on MCU/MPU based edge devices.
+ Proven embedded software development using C++ and/or Python application coding skills.
+ Experience with embedded software application development using MCU/MPU devices from suppliers such as NXP, ST Microelectronics, Renesas and Microchip
+ Basic electronics hardware skills including a solid understanding of schematics, debugging, and test bench equipment.
+ Familiarity with implementing cloud-connected edge devices targeting IoT solutions, built on services such as Microsoft Azure, to enable data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applications at the edge device.
+ Experience in the creation of tutorials and hands-on technical guides.
+ Ability to interface with and support internal and external customers across multiple geographies, suppliers, and management levels.
+ Ability to multi-task between different projects, identify priorities, and effectively self-manage schedules and tasks.
+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
+ Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
Education and Certification(s):
+ Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
+ This is an individual contributor position responsible for effective application of the identified knowledge, techniques, and judgments to achieve targeted deliverables.
