Essendant Janitor (6am-2:30pm) in Phoenix, Arizona
Sweeps, mops, and polishes floors. May be required to operate a power scrubber to clean floors. Vacuums carpets in common areas and offices.
Removes and disposes trash from all areas. Breaks down and bundles carton boxes for recycling; places boxes in bailer machine for consolidation.
Cleans common areas, including tables, chairs, countertops, drinking fountains, doors, windows (inside and outside), refrigerators, microwaves, sinks, and eye wash stations. Uses cleansers and machinery in a safe manner according to manufacturers’ specifications.
Cleans and provides supplies for restrooms.
Removes snow and ice from sidewalks, entrance areas, and dock doors as needed. Spreads de-icing salt as appropriate; maintains log.
Understands and demonstrates Essendants' Core Values.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to perform all required tasks in the function according to established safety rules and guidelines.
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
Ability to perform all tasks in a safe manner, following all safety rules and guidelines.
Ability to understand simple directions (verbal and written) in English.
