About the Role:
This specific position is to serve as the GM to manage the IT Product Engineering organization, a global organization with 200 employees. Product Engineering supports the processes that enable Product Design, and Development and Qualification from Ideation through to Customer Support. The scope is to manage the Product Engineering solutions worldwide delivery teams, and to ensure we value delivery. This entails collaborating and influencing with various Business partners including Design Engineering on long-term strategy for transformations in each of the major areas of Product Engineering. In addition, the GM will work closely with the platform and enterprise architecture teams to understand long term landscape changes, drive plan for landscape simplification, and technical debt reduction, and maintain a long-term skills plan to ensure continued skill growth to meet future needs.
Quickly build and maintain a trusted relationship with Product Engineering leaders to understand customer challenges and needs and influence on a One IT approach.
Lead and manage IT vision, strategy, and full execution for Product Engineering, crafting approach, tools, technology, anticipating needs and influencing multi-year roadmap. Drive alignment, measurable actions, execution and value realization.
Partner across CIO leadership team to deliver on Product Engineering roadmap. Drive smarter, innovative IT investments through persistent coordination with other segment General Managers.
Drive management of risks and compliance and close integration with cross-enterprise initiatives, platforms and standards.
Identify metrics to ensure we are delivering innovative, high value, efficient IT services and solutions with best-in-class delivery.
Role model exceptional interpersonal skills, display cultural sensitivity and work as a team player. Model Intel values, culture and leadership practices to grow pipeline of managers and leaders.
Deep functional expertise of underlying business processes, creating strategy, and technical expertise of systems that support processes of IT.
15+ years of IT related work experience with strong track record of superior delivery results.
Proven track record of collaboration across multiple IT organizations, business partners and stakeholders; ability to operate in an ambiguous environment, ability to think beyond the current boundaries, question the status quo structure/functions and recommend and effect changes.
Established record of success building high-performance teams, developing leaders and driving necessary organizational change.
Deep understanding of enterprise IT from business, technology and operational perspectives, knowledgeable of ITIL, Six Sigma, Waterfall and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Experienced at management communication and presentation skills, skilled at influencing relationships with internal business customers at executive and senior management levels.
Education- BS or equivalent in a related computer science or engineering or related field plus 15+ years relevant leadership experience. Advanced degree (MSCS or MBA, etc) a plus; relevant Industry certifications a plus.
