Assist the Manager of Ground Safety and Emergency Response and VP of Safety and Security to maintain oversight of the company's Safety Programs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Assists with safety and station compliance audit as necessary* Send audit finding reports to the facility identifying discrepancies and request correction action(s).* Identify stations needing additional oversight to correct deep-rooted discrepancies* Identify repetitive discrepancies* Assists the Manager of Ground Safety and Emergency Response to increase safety through identifying and reducing hazards within all operations. This is accomplished by:* Identifying actual and/or potential hazards* Applying mitigating actions to reduce/eliminate actual and/or potential hazards* Monitoring mitigating actions to determine the impact and effectiveness* Facilitating management-level meetings on a routine basis and on short notice* Briefing Senior Management & Code-Share partners on the status of the following programs:* Hearing Conservation Plan* EPA Aircraft Drinking Water Rule (ADWR)* Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA)* Hazardous Materials Program* Aircraft damages* Tracks and trends aircraft damage mishaps* Maintains records pertaining to the Hearing Conservation Plan.* Assists in running monthly Airport Ops and Tech Ops safety committee meetings* May represent Mesa Airlines at codeshare partners' meetings.* May attend internal safety meetings on behalf of the Manager of Ground Safety and Emergency Response* Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Ground Safety and Emergency Response and/or the VP of Safety and SecurityRequirements* Associate Degree* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Excellent interpersonal skills* Attention to detail and accuracy* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred* Three years of airline experience* Experience with safety investigations or aircraft-related investigations*Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
