Job Description

The Business Systems Administration (BSA) group is part of the overall Global Real Estate (GRE) Space Management organization. The GRE BSA team function is comprised of GRE and Program Management professionals who are responsible for partnering with leadership to achieve GRE's systemic platform objectives for ongoing support and management of GRE data. GRE Space Management key data elements consist of property data including building, floor, space, space assignments, mail codes, and occupancy allocation detail.

Our team will require that the Data Governance Manager lead and manage all organization-wide space data governance activities and will have responsibility for improving the not only the path to data quality, but also managing the systemic implementation of controls to enhance our data management platforms.

The Data Governance Manager serves as a point of person to maintain data control processes, enhance systemic platform controls, provide SME knowledge for the business and functional area leadership to improve the quality and value of core data sets for space management, while initiating key dynamic control reporting for Firmwide use.

Key Responsibilities

Will lead all efforts involving data governance and ensuring systemic enhancement design adheres to general data management practices. This will include, but is not limited to:

• Establish and govern a data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities

• Roll out a data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and protection of data through modifications to data architecture and platform tools

• Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for all impacted stakeholders

• Serve as a liaison between business, functional areas, and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for managing data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning

• Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards and forum to review with impacted parties

• In conjunction with the BSA Product Team, provide progress reports to leadership on progress of technology enhancements to support data governance

• Identify new opportunities pertaining to the use of information to achieve efficiency and effectiveness

• Identify and create control reporting to ensure data is provided and maintained consistently across platforms, data consumption is controlled, and data definitions are clearly provided with the goal that there is not inconsistent reporting and consumers are able to clearly understand what the data means

• Ownership of the platform data dictionary; will be responsible for maintaining and coordinating with technology to ensure all new field additions or changes are captured in the data dictionary

Qualifications:

• Real estate/CAFM/IWMS experience preferred

• Project management and Agile experience is preferred

• Experience in a major services organization with large scale data oversight is required

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)

• Demonstrated experience, skill and expertise driving business objectives

• Knowledge of data architecture and technology solution design to support

• Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies for system design

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex and sensitive issues to senior management in a persuasive manner

• Keen attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment

• Strong sense of ownership and desire to deliver high quality work products
