A major company in the hospitality space is hiring for a an intermediate (2 years of experience or more) Fullstack Java engineer to join their team in the valley on a contract basis. As part of this team you will be responsible for new feature development on their high traffic and consumer facing portals, and to a more limited degree API development on the backend. Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of professional experience in software development
Java with Spring or similar framework
Web services knowledge (develop and/or consume) REST microservices
Agile and ability to develop basic unit tests for frontend and backend code
Git, Subversion, or similar tool for source control
Communication and teamwork abilities
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience in hospitality industry or other consumer facing application environment
Spring boot for microservices
Relational databases - SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
Cloud experience on AWS
Jenkins or other tool for CI/CD
BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or similar
Strong QA background, TDD/BDD, etc.
What You Will Be Doing
30% Server side - Java, Spring Boot
60% Development - New client side features, API development and modifications
20% Testing and production support
20% Requirements analysis, documentation, Agile ceremonies
Competitive Pay: Up to $45/hour, DOE
Contract Duration: 12 Months with conversion possibility
Conversion salary: Up to $100,000/year, DOE
