Intel EPI/Implant/RTA Manufacturing Technician - Contract Employee in Phoenix, Arizona
Manufacturing Technicians perform functions associated with all wafer production including operations, equipment, process and training. Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct online equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization. Responsible for running lots in a qualitative way. Also, responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustaining.
In addition, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for but not limited to:
Troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability.
May be responsible for the buddy, trainer, and certifier levels and is in charge of updating training manuals.
May participate in safety forums and Emergency Response Team as required.
Work is somewhat complex and is performed within the spectrum ranging from narrowly defined parameters and limited judgment up to highly complex and nonstandard assignments in nature and broadly defined parameters. High degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new work.
This position is open on night/day shift. Shifts are twelve hours long and rotates from three to four days a week.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Candidate must possess an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a STEM or technical program (i.e. Microelectronics, Electronic Engineering Technology, Computer Electronic Engineering Technology, avionics repair or any other related field), or relevant Military Experience or 3+ months of experience in a semiconductor environment.

Must possess 3+ months of 300mm experience with high volume manufacturing environment within the EPI/Implant/RTA Area.
Must live within 50 miles of the work site (Intel Ocotillo site located in Chandler, AZ) as no relocation will be offered.
Candidate must be willing to:
Work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.
Lift up to 25 lbs., and spend the majority of time (greater than 90% less break time) on the floor working on tool sets, walking 3-5 miles a day, and/or standing/sitting for 9 hours.
Work a compressed work week schedule.
Knowledge in electronics or digital circuitry.
Knowledge in end-user computer skills and navigation.
Knowledge in Schematic/wiring diagram reading.
Knowledge in electronic systems troubleshooting and maintenance.
Previous experience testing, repairing and troubleshooting faulty electronic equipment down to a component using available schematics, Technical data and test equipment.
Knowledge in Operations, mechanics, nuclear, weapons systems and field service.
Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing fab in process, equipment, operations or assembly.
