This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Arcadis is looking for an Electrical / Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Systems Engineer with 5 years of experience to join our Water Business Line. The position is located in Phoenix, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity for an E/I&C Systems Engineer to join our team and be involved in projects with a variety of electrical, instrumentation and automation needs. The selected candidate will provide E/I&C technical and system integration services for diverse clients and projects for industrial & municipal water and wastewater treatment and conveyance facilities. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide technical and design consulting services to support projects for producing I&C design & construction drawings. Develop technical & design criteria, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), SCADA block diagrams, process control functional narratives, control schematics, panel layout diagrams, instrument selection and sizing, interconnection diagrams, site plans, single line diagrams, etc. Assist Project Manager with budgeting, planning, cost estimating, design and execution of SCADA and instrumentation & controls. Mentor of one or more junior engineers. Conduct factory testing, site acceptance testing, field checkout, and startup. Coordinate with engineers of various disciplines constantly throughout the project lifecycle. Utilize technical experience and expertise in the execution of projects from inception to successful startup and turnover. Other duties as assigned.

Key attributes:

Self-motivated with an outgoing personality. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project, and Outlook). Basic proficiency in Autocad. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as excellent teamwork skills. Ability to self-direct and work on multiple assignments at once while meeting project deliverable dates and completing other task-driven assignments. Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Control Systems Engineering, or a closely related field of study

+ 5 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Fundamentals Engineer (FE) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.

+ Experience in HMI/PLC platforms.

+ Experience in IT and field networks.

+ PLC/HMI/DCS Configuration & Startup experience.

+ IT / Network design experience.

+ Remote communications (radio, telemetry, fiber optic network) experience.

+ Consulting engineering experience.

+ Basic proficiency in Revit.
