As the company's second line of defense, Corporate Risk — or Independent Risk Management — provides independent oversight of risk-taking activities. Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk.
The Consumer Credit Senior Associate will be responsible for credit risk analysis, monitoring and reporting for the Home Lending originations related to credit policy exceptions and identification. The individual will work closely with business line and risk management within Home Lending and requires an ability to develop partnerships across functional areas. The Consumer Credit Senior Associate will be responsible for executing the Daily Exception Control process and the Exceptions Control Monthly Dashboard.
Specifically, the Consumer Credit Sr Associate will be responsible for but is not limited to:
• Ensure the Daily Exception Control is executed daily and without error
• Complete analysis to identify and recommend improvements in the daily exception control results
• Create Monthly Exceptions Control Dashboard to be provided to HL Credit Risk and business leaders to monitor accuracy of exception identification, including partnering with business to determine plans to reduce errors as needed
• Provide subject matter expertise and lead cross-functional meetings with other HL Credit Risk and HL Underwriting and Credit Administration teams to monitor volume of exception identification errors and root cause of these errors
• Utilize credit policy knowledge to confirm daily exceptions control logic appropriately identifies exceptions
• Provide ad hoc analysis for Home Lending HFI originations to monitor credit quality and identify potential emerging risks
• Engage with internal oversight groups
LOCATION: Candidate must be located in one of the listed site locations. Position is currently remote; however, candidate will be required to work on site when Wells Fargo returns to standard operating model.

5+ years of experience in risk role
3+ years of SQL or SAS experience
- 3+ years of mortgage risk experience

•Prior experience in accessing loan origination systems and down stream data marts to reconcile data and complete loan level research
•Strong analytical capabilities
•Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
•Adaptability and flexibility
•Experience in developing partnerships with various business and functional areas
•Demonstrated excellence at developing of sound credit risk processes and managing multiple initiatives, and when needed, evaluating and enhancing existing processes
•Dedicated, enthusiastic, driven, and performance-oriented; possesses a strong work ethic
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
