CVS Health Child Welfare Project Manager in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

The Project Manager is a full time office based position. Offices are temporarily closed due to COVID 19; consequently, this position will telework temporarily until the office reopens.This position requires the ability to travel in state with a personal vehicle up to 20% of the time. Qualified candidates must have a valid AZ driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of vehicle insurance.The project manager is accountable for and manages the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of project(s) with relatively small and/or less complex scope and deliverables. Project scope typically impacts one of the following: process, system, function, and/or product. If your values are the same as ours, let’s work together to make a difference and improve the health and wellbeing of Arizona. -Provides input on business plan to achieve business goals. -Proactively leads assigned project by creating project timeline, identifying key milestones and additional resources needed to successfully complete the work. -Assists with the management of internal relationships, processes and performance drives (in some cases relationships may be external). -Negotiates to obtain additional resources (may be cross functional/segment). -Responsible for the budget and/or financial implications of the project. -Identifies issues that may stall project and works with manager to address them. -Tracks progress and communicates project status on a regular basis to all impacted parties. -Builds communication plan for implementation to ensure all impacted parties (upstream/downstream) are informed of next steps for completion. -Acts as an advocate for change may require influencing others to see the value in project. -Group leadership/facilitation/presentation influencing various internal (these may be cross-functional/segment), and may also include external, parties. -Knowledge of the Children’s System of Care in Arizona.-May coach or mentor others by providing work direction. -May solicit and evaluate internal and external customer feedback to enhance continuous quality improvement. -May create and have oversight over various reports and assists with deliverables to stakeholders, contractors and internal departments. -Has the ability to complete an analysis and report on data received in various reports to assist with decision making. -May be required to respond to requests from system partners, including child welfare, DCS, DDD, JPO, ADJC, Schools, and other community stakeholders, as well as parents or caregivers for children, for information and assistance in resolving case-specific challenges related to coordination of care and behavioral health service delivery. -Ability to assist the Children’s System of Care Administrator in leading assigned projects related to the care of DCS and adopted children by creating timelines, identifying key milestones and resources, collaborating with internal and external teams, track progress and communicate project status to impacted parties. -Ability to support all MMIC internal departments and functions, such as Member Services, Quality Management/ Quality Improvement and Medical Management, in following up with providers that may benefit from technical assistance in order to assist meeting the needs of children’s and families.-May identify gaps and recommend enhancements related to new and/or existing products, services and workflows based on broad view of the organization. -Develops recommendations based on complex data and root cause analysis. -May serve as a Subject Matter Expert.-Ability to communicate effectively with management.-Ability to work collaboratively within work teams.-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.-Strong organization skills.

Required Qualifications

-Proven track record meeting project dates.-3-5 years' related work experience.-Ability to communicate effectively with management.-Ability to work collaboratively within work teams.-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.-Strong organization skills.- Computer literacy and demonstrated proficiency is required in order to navigate through internal/external computer systems, and MS Office Suite applications, including Word and Excel.- Work days are Monday through Friday. Core business hours are 8AM-5PM MTN. This position requires the flexibility to occasionally work beyond core hours and/or on a Saturday.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years' experience within the behavior health system and or child welfare.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
