The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleThe Prevena™ Business Development Manager will work with existing 3M Acute Care, Surgical Solutions and Key Account resources, to drive Prevena™ revenue growth and clinical adoption within identified target accounts. The Business Development Manager will strengthen relationships with hospitals and surgeons by adding clinical credibility and effective education through KOL influencers. They are responsible for developing new business and increasing product penetration to exceed target account and regional Prevena™ quota. This role reports directly to the Business Development Leader.

As a Business Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most creative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Influencing C-Suite, Key Opinion Leaders and Value Analysis Committees to expand Prevena™ utilization in key target accounts.

  • Driving sales within large, high opportunity IDN’s in the assigned geography.

  • Engaging with Key Account Managers on large cross-department, cross-network contracts.

  • Coaching and partnering with sales leadership and Acute Care – Surgical Solutions sales representatives to identify targets and increase Prevena™ sales penetration.

  • Leading development of account planning for assigned accounts, driving account strategy and execution.

  • Strengthening customer relationships by establishing high clinical credibility.

  • Developing regional surgeon KOLs and influencers.

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position (if applicable)

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Five (5) combined years healthcare business sales and/or clinical experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

  • Current, Valid Driver’s license is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • MBA

  • Medical device or pharmaceutical sales experience

  • Previous operating room / surgical device sales experience

  • Clinical wound care, related patient care experience or other strong clinically related acumen

  • Completion of a formal sales training program

  • Strong strategic mindset, yet proficient in tactical planning and execution

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to influence without direct report authority

  • Strong professional speaking and presentation skills

  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure, performance-driven environment

  • Experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic with overnight stays
