  • Responsibilities:*

  • Leads a team of employees.

  • Communicates company goals, safety practices, and company deadlines to team.

  • Provides guidance and training to team

  • Keeps management updated on team performance

  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.

  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, and damages (return authorizations) and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.

  • Deliver or route materials to departments.

  • Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter. Handle shipments via United Parcel and Fed Ex ground.

  • Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.

  • Proficient in use of Warehouse Location Management System

o Ability to operate scanners efficiently and accurately to:

  • perform put away of production

  • Supervise and at times unload and load incoming and outgoing material (boxes, color, re-mil) and record

  • Prepare stock for shipping

  • Maintain inventory of materials on daily basis in a neat and orderly manner to ensure proper levels for production purposes with the following:

o Finished re-mil

o Color concentrate

o Boxes

  • Maintain scrap produced (Weigh, sort, stack and stage)

  • Ensure proper supply of pallets

  • Bundle corrugated cardboard for shipping, stage for shipping, and load onto trucks

  • Ensure that all spare propane tanks are filled for use for all crews

  • Prepares orders for shipment by addressing, labeling, and wrapping pallets. Install protective devices, such as bracing to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

  • Supervise and at times Load finished orders on to trucks.

  • Unloads materials from trucks or containers and moves to appropriate locations in the warehouse.

  • Records numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.

  • Moves freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, by hand or using electric pallet trucks, fork-trucks and other equipment.

  • Maintains a clean and neat work area in warehouse

  • Ability to safely operate forklift and load hogs. Must pass all required training.

Education and Experience:

  • Education - High School Graduate required. Prefer Associates Degree or college level course work

  • Experience - Pervious work experience in a shipping and warehousing operations preferred. Work experience in office setting required.

  • Computer and Clerical - Proficiency using basic computer operations - data entry, working through vendor websites, use of Excel to produce worksheets and recording/reporting data. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, email, managing files and records and other office procedures and terminology. Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer software.

  • Customer Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Logistics - Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by rail, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.

  • Mathematics - Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
