Rite of Passage CLINICIAN - Bilingual Spanish/English in Oracle, Arizona



The Therapist works as a staff member of the Transitional / Aftercare Student Services Program Team. Primarily responsible for providing intensive family-based treatment for adolescents and their families assigned to the program. The Therapist reports to the Program Manager or Director.

Must be fluent in Spanish and English


  1. Supervises a client caseload of four to six families.

  2. Identifies family resources and social supports.

  3. Assists the families with increasing their abilities to problem solve.

  4. Delivers services in the clients’ natural environment (i.e. home, school, community).

  5. Tracks progress and outcomes on each case on a weekly basis.

  6. Addresses factors that are contributing to the client’s behavior problems on a highly individualized basis.

  7. Develops treatment goals in collaboration with the family and utilizes family strengths as levers for therapeutic change.

  8. Participates in weekly team clinical supervision with the Program Manager or Director.

  9. Provides crisis intervention as needed. Ensures documentation is completed.

  10. Ensures the safety, health and welfare of staff and students at all times.

  11. Provides encouragement, guidance and resources to staff and students when needed.

  12. Models and ensures all program norms are upheld without compromise.

  13. Acts as a positive role model and mentor for both staff and students.

  14. Treats others with respect, confronts negative behavior and supports confrontations.

  15. Completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner, provides management with required reports and advises of any problematic situations.

  16. Complies with and implements the Rite of Passage Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals/handbooks.

  17. Ensures the highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and to ensure the program remains in compliance with agency licensing and Rite of Passage policies and procedures.

  18. Assists with the correction of deficiencies and quality improvement efforts.

  19. Attends and participates in all required meetings. (i.e. weekly staff meetings, case staffings).

  20. Participate in regular booster trainings. Commits to attending all training and staff development classes in order to ensure sufficient hours of training on an annual basis. Notifies supervisor if annual training hours are deficient.

  21. Other duties as assigned, verbally or in written form to meet the needs of the program.


  1. Participates in Site, Region and/or Company events as required.

  2. Participates in the rotation of the Administrator on Duty assignment when required.


  1. Masters in Social Work with Clinical Experience as a part of the Masters Program requirements. Alternatively, Clinicians can have a Masters Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or other relevant behavioral science field in which clinical experience in the field is a requirement, OR a Bachelors degree in one of the mentioned fields, plus five years of Clinical employment experience in this field.

  2. Prior experience working with at-risk juveniles and their families preferred.

  3. Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.

  4. Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.

  5. Ability to utilize resources available to complete assigned projects.

  6. Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.

  7. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

  8. Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.

  9. Able to work in excess of 40 hours per week with the possibility of a varied schedule.

  10. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  11. Must have excellent organization and time management skills.

  12. Ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships.

  13. Ability to provide exemplary customer service to all employees and outside constituents.

  14. Ability to function independently and as a member of a team in a multi-task environment.

  15. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions.

  16. Proficient in the use of computers and associated software.

  17. Clinicians must be licensed or licensed eligible. Licensed eligible clinicians are required to be actively working to licensure, and receive their license as soon as possible.
