Rural Electric Project Engineer in Mesa, Arizona

Job Description:

Provide technical engineering

information to company supervision and crafts to insure construction work

complies with all engineering standards. Collaborates with Division

Managers of Operations (for assigned Divisions) to ensure that job/

construction projects are on time, on budget and properly staffed to meet the

needs of specific job / projects assigned to the incumbent for oversight.

Collaborates with HR and Home office admins and accounting staff as needed to

insure proper invoicing occurs to reflect all job / project related revenue and

expenses items are captured correctly in the company’s business/accounting

operating systems. Typically, an entry level professional position.

Primary Job Duties include but may not be limited to:

  1. Compile data and information from technical and

accounting sources; calculations and summarizations of same as directed.

  1. Inventory, check, examine and measure materials.

  2. May assemble and bind reports, proposals, bids,

estimates, schedules and the like.

  1. Research and recommend resolutions to drawing

interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors.

  1. Verify all completed work complies with applicable

codes, drawings, specifications.

  1. Prepare and disseminate all required documentation

records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done,

sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc., to


  1. May provide technical support and direction of project

material control functions including implementation and operation of

maintenance program.

  1. Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction

work, change orders, estimates, etc.

  1. Coordinate and process general administrative work

(time sheets, vacation requests, supply requisitions, etc.) for supervisor's


Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience include

but may not be limited to:

· 4-year engineering degree or equivalent

combinations of technical training and related experience.

· Working knowledge of construction equipment and

techniques, drawings & specifications, building materials and required

standards applicable to discipline.

· Ability to perform trigonometric calculation

either manually or with calculator.

· Ability to assume responsibility, interface and

communicate effectively with others.

Additional Requirements include but

may not be limited to:

· Completion of a Pre-Employment Drug / Alcohol Screening

· Provide Employer a copy of your current valid

Driver’s License

· May be required to pass local, state or federal

government security screening for access to client job sites.

Other Training Requirements

include but may not be limited to:

· New Hire Safety Orientation, MSDS, LOTO and QMS may

be required on or before the first day of employment.

· Ongoing Safety Training as needed to meet

business safety compliance needs as they may change from time-to-time.

Work Environment / Physical



will be conducted in the company’s home office; however, much of the duties of

this role will require frequent visits to various client / company job sites. The

needs of the business.
