is currently seeking an
Experienced Vision and Mission Systems Software Engineer
to join the Mission Systems Capability group located in
El Segundo, CA,
Albuquerque, NM, and Mesa, AZ
This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
This position will support BDS Mission Systems capability across multiple programs in developing and implementing Vision - based Mission Systems. In particular this position will focus on software related to the image processing and interfacing to other key subsystems like guidance and relative navigation.
Develops code and integrates complex software components into a fully functional software system
Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
Works under minimal direction
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must possess a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or related technical filed
3+ years' software development full-life cycle experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation SCI/SSBI eligibility.
Experience with software architecture definition, software development, sensors and modeling of sensors, and hardware testing
Experience leading projects or project teams through the software life-cycle
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience)
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
