The General Manager (GM) Sales Director Designate role is designed as an 8-12 month leadership training program. GM Sales Director Designates will receive a customized on-boarding plan to assimilate and develop the necessary knowledge and skillset in preparation for a future PepsiCo Sales Leader role.Upon completion of the training program in a specified market, you will be required to relocate to the designated Market. You will be promoted to a GM Sales Director and take ownership of your own territory.

The GM Sales Director Designate contributes to the success of our Pepsi Beverages Company by leading the sales and distribution strategy for a regional area.


As a GM Sales Director Designate, you lead a team that influences growth across the world’s largest portfolio of billion-dollar food and beverage brands, specifically Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Sierra Mist, Aquafina, Gatorade, SoBe, Lipton, and Amp Energy.


You will be responsible for leading a team of Sales, Warehouse, Delivery and Merchandising employees both Frontline and Salaried. You will drive superior marketplace execution, customer service, share growth, and profit performance for your market. You will collaborate with customer teams on priorities, execution, and timing of initiatives.


**Upon completion of the designate training program, you will be required to relocate within the West Division; PepsiCo will cover relocation costs to that Market, at the completion of your designate role. You will have acquired the necessary foundational skills to be promoted to GM Director.


Key Responsibilities:* Maximize volume and revenue in a defined geography in a direct store delivery go-to-market environment, P&L responsibility* Work with cross-functional teams to ensure execution of the annual operating plan* Lead, coach, develop and motivate a large team of sales professionals and frontline employees on selling, display execution, and merchandising standards* Effectively lead overall warehouse operations through consistent product availability, warehouse productivity, inventory, asset preservation and cost reduction efforts* Ensure the team delivers volume and revenue results while managing costs* Cultivate strategic partnerships with customers in the region and drive customer satisfaction through superior service and execution* Develop business relationships with key stakeholders in the community* Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance* Partner with region and leverage headquarters resources to support change plans

Qualifications/Requirements* Proven leadership capability with a track record of leading and influencing large multi-level teams; preferably within consumer packaged goods organization* Sales leadership experience in Direct Sales Delivery environment/related retail leadership* Experience in expense management and managing a P&L* Customer marketing and sales strategy experience* Compelling communication skills with the ability to create powerful and persuasive messages* Time management skills, ability to multitask, set priorities and plan* Influencing skills to gain alignment, agreement, and commitments (internal/external)* Ability to work within and be successful in a highly matrixed environment* Analytical skills: ability to link strategies and objectives to develop a plan* Planning/organizing skills: capable of managing major projects simultaneously* Finance skills in order to build compelling profit wins for customer and internal stakeholders* Presentation skills, both in development of compelling stories and in presenting them at all levels within customer and internal organization* Must be able to relocate within the West Division upon completion of the training - PepsiCo will cover relocation at this point* This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
