As part of our core values, we believe that a quality Pipe Fitting Technician is there to provide prompt, professional service to our clients: and to build a reputation for being honest and committed to customer satisfaction.Purpose and Scope:The applicant is responsible to install automatic fire sprinkler systems in all types of structures. The scope of work will include new system installs, tenant improvements, system removals, additions, remodels and repairs. Sprinkler systems can include the underground fire line as well as overhead piping systems and standpipes.Job Requirements:- Assemble, install, and repair a variety of metal and nonmetal pipe, pipe fittings and fire sprinkler system components-Must be able to roll groove, thread, glue, slip fit and bolt together pipe and fittings-Operate various tools such as saws, wrenches, drills, pipe threaders, lifts and ladders-Perform work in accordance with drawings, sketches, specifications, codes, and standards-Utilize the correct type and size of of pipe and related fire sprinkler materials according to job specifications and pursuant to codes; inspects work sites to determine presence of obstructions and determine locations for needed penetrations; plans sequence of installation to maximize efficiency and to avoid the obstructions of other trades-Test piping systems for leaks by means of hydro-static testing-Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requestedMinimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:High School diploma or equivalent. Three years of experience as a sprinkler fitter or completion of a certified apprenticeship program. Possess Journeyman status. Must adhere to the standards set forth in the installation standards of NFPA, which are administered, copyrighted, and published be the National Fire Protection Association. Must be currently qualified and be able to demonstrate continued proficiency in accordance with Company procedures/policies. Possess a Valid state issued driver's license.
