Applied Materials Software Engineer IV - (E4) in Glendale, Arizona
Majors preferred: BS in Engineering or equivalent
Technical Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated skills using enterprise advanced process control systems in manufacturing 3-5 years of Semiconductor manufacturing experience Familiar with the application of SEMI standards Enterprise software application administration, monitoring, and testing experience Experienced in enterprise system management and recovery procedures
Duration: Regular Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
Technical support to users of Enterprise Equipment applications
Installation and testing of new versions of the application for alpha and beta releases
Liaison to field users with expert level guidance, training and troubleshooting of application capabilities
Interfaces with external customers or vendors regarding software issues.
Interfaces with internal customers regarding requirements analysis and schedule
Troubleshoots a wide range of complex, difficult application and integration issues
Defines software features, and works with engineering in the development and testing of the features
Contributes to technical review boards for assigned programs
Reports progress of programs to upper management when needed

Validates use cases and challenges assumptions to bring out true benefits of future capabilties
Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
Leadership
Helps product management to add capabilities into the roadmap based on field needs
May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity

- Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions
