AWS Cloud Security & Operations Engineer - USDC Cloud Engineering

Work you ll do/Responsibilities

You will work with cutting-edge Cloud & Security Solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment supporting a variety of public sector clients. You will apply your creativity to deliver solutions that solve problems, improve business operations, and simplify technology advancement for mission critical public sector clients. Key responsibilities may include the following:

Implement, monitor and maintain Cloud Security (AWS) environments based on client requirements and Security Technical Implement Guide(STIGS)

The Team - Cloud Engineering

Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.

Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience as well as identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.



Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience and/or education

5yrs years of experience with security & operations technologies in Linux OS

Previous experience supporting a teach focused on Data Rest/In-Transit Protection

Demonstrated experience with Authorization/PKI/Multi-Factor (CAC, PIV, PIVi)

Hands-on experience in a Zero-Trust Environment Maintenance (service-mesh or alternative zero-trust)

Have Set-up/Deploy and Operate System Logging, Security Logging, and User activity logging with centralized audit log repository

Monitor JCF for security and user activity and manage operational and security incidents

Hands-on experience in configuring and managing Amazon Web Services-based technology.

Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time after start date

Live in or be able to relocate to one of the following areas: Lake Mary, FL, Gilbert, AZ or Mechanicsburg, PA

Must be able to travel up to 20% (while 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)


Interim or Active Secret Clearance

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate

Experience in communicating technical challenges effectively

Experience with scripting languages and automation of administrative tasks (e.g. Python, bash, PowerShell)

Experience in management and troubleshooting of computer networks and systems

platforms and capabilities including, but not limited to Identity and Access Management (IAM), Elastic Cloud Computing instances, Virtual Private Cloud, Security Groups, Cloud Formations, CloudTrail, Puppet, among others

Optimizing networks and applications performance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
