Individuals serving as flight instructors (Shadow 200) arerequired to provide flight and simulation instruction in support of the USArmy’s UAS Training Battalion located at Ft Huachuca, AZ. Duties andresponsibilities include:
1.Develops; tests; maintains; and deliversmoderately complex flight and simulations training programs.
2.Establishes and reviews course content asrequired.
3.Maintains records of training activities;participant progress; and flight information.
4.Updates course documentation on a regular basisto ensure timeliness and relevance.
5.May provide leadership and evaluation for otherinstructors, as assigned.
6.Stays current with new training; educational;and multimedia technologies.
7.Maintains current knowledge (currency) of allequipment and software utilized by our customer to provide training.
8.Participates in special projects within thescope of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), as required.
9.May be required to operate/instruct any of thecustomer's UAS platforms, based on customer’s training throughput (surge)
1.Minimum 4 years’ experience and 200 flight hourson the Shadow 200 UAS (Documented in Flight records/addressed on resume).
2.Strong interpersonal, coaching and team buildingskills
3.Excellent written and verbal communicationskills
4.Experience with the U.S. Army Aviation or otherGovernment contracting agencies
5.Must be able to ascend and descend stairs; standfor an extended period of time up to at least 50 minutes and walk at least 100meters across uneven or unpaved surfaces
6.Must be a US Citizen
7.Rotational shift work is required; typically24/5 coverage, with rotations based on work section requirements
8.Instructor/Operator (IO) designation, earned ateither Ft Huachuca or certified by Army Aviation’s Directorate of Evaluationand Standardization (DES)
1.Prior TRADOC experience; IO hours in trainingenvironment preferred; multi-platform quals preferred
2.Prior deployment and operation of the platformapplying to instruct
3.Familiarity with ISO- certified QualityManagement System
4.Current active US Secret Clearance
High School Graduate, or the equivalent combination ofeducation, technical certifications, or work/military experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)
System qualification in either Shadow 200 TUAS version 1 (V1)or version 2 (V2)
Must have at least 200 flight hours on the Shadow 200 UAS
Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight physical per AR95-20
Must be able to satisfactorily complete all evaluations toinclude TRADOC instructor evaluations per 2/13th Aviation Regiment SOPs, andoral academic evaluations, no-notice evaluations, Directorate of Evaluation andStandardization (DES), proficiency flight evaluations (PFEs), andStandardization Flight Evaluations (SFE) per AR 95-20.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret SecurityClearance.
Travel up to 10% required.
