U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command IT Specialist (Network) in Fort Huachuca, Arizona
This is a Direct Hire Authority solicitation utilizing the DHA for Cyber Security to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a senior computer specialist for data networking and telecommunications systems supported by the directorate. Perform a variety of complex software engineering, network engineering, integration, implementation, and support tasks to meet customer requirements, costs, and schedules.
Function as a technical expert/principal action officer for meeting broad objectives in providing data networking designs, architectures capabilities, and services on a theater scale.
Provide technical guidance, coordinates, and interprets the efforts of team members engaged in technical analysis, strategies, and implementations.
Analyze customer requirements, develop support requirements, and arrange for necessary in-house and contractor support personnel.
Represents the Directorate/USAISEC concerning architectural and design issues, implementation/scheduling at briefings, technical conferences, technical working groups, program status reviews, and customer reviews.
Develop or review for accuracy and adequacy implementation plans and schedules, system designs, risk management analysis, system, and product evaluations, and recommends methods for enhancing customer satisfaction.

In addition to the competencies above, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service which includes: 1. Assisting in the design and implementation of new requirements and modifications to existing transmission systems; 2. Providing life cycle support to transmission systems, to include strategic satellite and terrestrial communication systems; AND 3. Serving as a technical expert in the areas of system engineering and systems integration.
