Under general direction, manage transportation programs and funds to ensure compliance and maximum use for the overall enhancement of mobility of individuals and improved infrastructure within service area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reasonable accommodations mav be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.1) Ensure reimbursement requests for transportation contracts and grants are performed in a timely manner.2) Actively participate in the creation and oversite of the ADOT work program and Mobility Management as it relates to WACOG; work with Executive Director to determine and implement best practices.3) Monitor agencies for ongoing compliance and provide technical assistance in regards to FHWA and FTA grant funding and contracts.4) Evaluate program effectiveness, modify processes as needed, and develop current and accurate program procedures in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.5) Assign and oversee delegation of duties to ensure assignments are completed accurately and in a timely manner; review and approve timesheets; participate in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of staff. 6) Research and apply for funding applicable to transportation projects as approved.7) Maintain compliance of regulating agencies; create department operational procedures as needed.8) Act as an expert user of program related software and train others as necessary; ensure data entry into systems is timely and accurate: calculate information within systems, produce reports, and submit to regulating agencies on a regular basis.9) Evaluate and analyze issues, recommend and implement solutions.10) Lead, facilitate or attend meetings, work groups, and trainings regularly or as needed such as TAC, Executive Board, Coordination Council, and ADOT.1 1) Work with Federal, State, and local agencies to ensure effective communication; Increase flow of information to improve relations with participating agencies.12) Provide input to Transportation/Transit staff concerning service quality of internal programs; coordinate staff to resolve any delivery issues which impact the programs and client service.13) Assist Executive Director to ensure program budgets are maintained adequately.14) Coordinate WACOG Transportation and Transit activities with other WACOG departments and services.15) In coordination with the Human Resources Director, Act as the WACOG Title VI Coordinator; Prepare and maintain Title VI plan.16) Travel within WACOG service area as well as to local, tri-county, state, or national events., including overnight stays as needed; additional travel may be required.17) Maintain reliable and predictable attendance; work outside of standard business hours as needed.18) Utilize tact and discretion to maintain confidentiality of information and a positive image of WACOG.Program Manager - Transportation JOB DESCRIPTION19) Other duties as assigned or required of the position.KNOWLEDGEISKILLSIABILITIES (KSAs) The individual who holds this position must be able to perfon-n the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
